Why rent a car in Magaluf
There are several reasons to decide to rent a car in Magaluf, rather than at Palma airport.
- On the one hand, it is possible that our vacation trip includes transfers to and from the airport, so we will not need to rent a car to make those journeys.
- On the other hand, Magaluf has good connections by public transport, including a direct line to the airport in the summer months.
- If we are not yet familiar with the roads of Mallorca we can opt for a cab, which would cost between 40 and 45€.
In any case, it is possible that we are not going to need a car every day, but that we have planned our vacations to need it only on rare occasions. In this case it is more advisable to rent a car in an agency near our accommodation.

This local company has three offices in Magaluf. In addition, it offers free pick-up service for clients staying between Cala Major (in the bay of Palma) and Camp de Mar (in Andratx). It has 180 vehicles of all categories which are renewed annually.
BDV Rent a car
In Palmanova, a town next to Magaluf, we find this local company dedicated to the rental of different types of vehicles, both long term (for months) and for days. Good service and economic prices, even with full insurance.
FC Rent A Car
In this case it is a family company that tries to speed up the procedures so as not to make us lose time. The service is good, and the prices are reasonable, including full insurance. On the downside, the fleet is not renewed as often as in other companies, and sometimes the cars are not delivered as clean as expected.
Hiper Rent a Car
This local company in its more than 50 years of experience has become one of the most important in the sector in Mallorca. Among its network of offices it has one in Palmanova, next to Magaluf, within walking distance of the main hotels.
